About the Artist

Artist Ranae Prestwich Boggess was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Ranae’s love of art began at an early age mostly influenced by her high school art teacher. She graduated from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah with a degree in Interior Design taking additional classes in the arts. Her life experiences and travels as a military spouse have given her the opportunity to see the varied life and landscapes of America. Ranae worked in the education field for many years and recently returned to art as a professional working with oil, watercolor and photography.
Living in Nebraska, the heartland of America, has given Ranae the opportunity to see and experience the everyday moments and beauty the world offers. She has completed art courses taught at the Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha NE and studied at The Fount Atelier of Fine Art of Omaha. Ranae has resided in Papillion, Nebraska with her husband, Rick for the last twenty-eight years. Their love of travel offers many beautiful vistas and enrichment opportunities.
My love of nature and everyday moments in time capture my focus on the canvas and through the lens. Seeing the world as a canvas ready to be painted has always been the way I view life. I see beauty around me from the smallest item to the immense landscapes. I love to focus on the expressions and everyday love of life around me and present that love through different art mediums.
